Engagement rings, Wedding bands and bespoke diamond Jewellery

Investment for life

Like marriage a engagement ring is an investment for life, so make sure you do your home work before you buy! Lack or no research could result in devastating results financially and emotionally for loved ones. with this in mind we have a few pointers which may help guide you through the dark tunnel and into the light!

1. Be realistic with budgets!

Start with four to six weeks' worth of salary, and be prepared to top up a little extra if required. There is definately no point in living a champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget! So if you need to save do it with a time frame in mind, remember preparation is key to your success!

2.Turn to Her Friends/Family for advise

Ask her Friends/Family if she's dropped any hints regarding metal, cut of stone, this will assist you to attempt to find that perfect ring. Or alternatively ask a family member who may have an existing design or ring that she may like.

3. Do your Homework!

With the world wide web at your finger tips you can get a quick education online about Diamonds and how they are graded (4 C's) but after that, if you still need guidance we are just a phone call away to help. Generally for diamonds choose a better cut and clearer color over more carats, big does not necessarily mean better!

4. Modern or Vintage

Note of the type of jewellery she wears. Does she wear a lot of gold? Maybe she’s a silver or platinum woman. Perhaps there’s a particular stone she wears a lot. Does she like simple, understated pieces? Or does she favor the big, glitzy variety? Think about her personality; is she an outgoing girl who you know is going to want to show off her ring to everyone she meets? Then go for something big and sparkly. If she is not a fan of big and sparkly, look for rings that are simple, yet beautiful.

5. Get the right size!

Make sure you get the right size, as incorrect sizes could lead to added expenses and a not so happy fiance!
